広州に行く第二の目的がブート品をチェックすることで工場チェックよりこっちの方がじつは楽しみだったりして、、、まあ単純に世界のブート品はここで製造されていると言われても不思議ではないバイブスでした。今回はスニーカー版だけで後程トイ/フィギュアやアパレル版もアップするから楽しみにしてて、、、

The second reason why I wanted to check out Guangzhou was to peep the bootleg products and actually I was more excited to check these out then the factory... To put it simply, you would be hard pressed to know that most of the bootlegs come from here. This time it is only the sneaker version but later on uploads of toys/figures and apparel will happen be on the look out...

ざっと説明するとブート品、サンプル品、Bグレード品や盗まれた本物が販売されているんだよね。でも当然中国で生産していない物はだいたい無い、、、それは言うまでも無い。でもう靴/スニーカーなら何でもあり、、、大手のNikeやAdidasなどは当然なことスケシューもたくさんあったしCrocsとかアウトドアブーツ系もいっぱい！特に今回はClotのAF1が発売されたばかりだったのでClot柄のブート品が出回っていたね、、、Clot AF1は当然だけどAM90とかAdidas AZシリーズとかNew Eraもあった、、、まあ写真でバイブスが伝わると思う、、、

So to explain the market briefly, there are bootlegs, samples, B grades and stolen real goods on sale. Of course only products manufactured in China will be here and those that are not are not here... That is common sense I guess. Anyways they had anything footwear/sneaker related from big names like Nike to adidas to skateboard shoes which were a little suprising and Crocs or outdoor boots were filling the shops! Especially this time Clot AF1 had been released prior and Clot pattern were everywhere... Of course there were Clot AF1 but there were AM90 and adidas AZ series variants too and even some New Era caps... Peep the pics to get a feel of the vibe there...

If you get bored of the daily routine then it might be best to take on a new challenge... Last Thursday I took on a new challenge... Well it was a personal challenge and nothing special really. I completed a 40+km ride on my fixed gear! It was mad tough but super fun at the same time... I guess I could do it if I put my mind to it... hahaha

ビジターのライダーFrankとAndreaも参加でけっこう盛り上がったかも。あとニューライダーのArhoとIvanもペース落とさずついて来たからすごい！
Frank and Andrea were visitor riders and seemed to enjoy it too. New riders Arho and Ivan did really well by keeping up with the pace!

やっと時間ができたので数週間前にいった広州のレポいきま～す！結論から言うと広州はマジ面白いし色々な面でヤバイ、、、でも中国なのでマジghettoです。中国に行った事が無い人は覚悟が必要。まあ香港に居るから中国に行っても悪い意味カルチャーショックはほとんどないかも、、、でもはじめての人はかなりカルチャーショックがあると思う。まあこれも楽しみの一つだと思うけど、、、

Finally I have some time on my hands, so here is the much anticipated report of Guangzhou! To sum it up this place is off the hook and hectic in every way... However as it is deep in China, it is still very ghetto. If you have never been to China before then you better be prepared. I have been in HK for sometime so I didn't really get any major culture shock... For a first timer there might be culture shock in every corner. I think this is all part of the fun though so don't fret...

で初日は工場チェックで仕事関係をすませて夜は遊んでって感じの内容、、、メンバーはInvasianクルーのStan＋Sinic＆meで現地の友達とも合流して無事一日が終了。Big props Stan + Sinic!!!

So on the first day was the business side of things which was to check some factory then to go out and play at night... The travellers consisted of Invasian crew: Stan + Sinic and myself along with locals who joined us along the way. The day ended safely. Big props Stan + Sinic!!!

More transit on the subway... Because it is a big city the exterior is fairly normal

However to put it simply they have the hardware but the software is not really catching up...

印刷された物のほうがやっぱり内容がおもしろいと最近また思い始めた、、、やっぱりオンラインは情報が早いだけで大半がアマチュアライターが書いているので読む価値がほとんど無いしだからフリーなんだよね、、、お金を払って購入する物にはそれなりの価値があるからしっかり仕事をしているのが読んでわかる。そしてなによりトイレで読むときにノートブックをトイレに持ち込む勇気も余裕もないからね、、、最近こんな物に目を通してます。Monocleは逃さず毎月ゲット！

It seems like printed media is much more interesting these days... With online, they focus too much on the speed and most of the times it is written by amateur writers so it really holds no value and besides it is free for a reason... For certain things we pay our hard earned, it is obviously evident how the job is done so well. On top of that, the most important point is that it is hard to bring a laptop into the toilet... Well I don't really have the courage or the time to do it... Been hittin these materials lately and can't ever miss an issue of Monocle!
