Typhoon No.9 | 台風９番

今週はマジいそがしいのでブロギングは控えめにっていうか時間がね～！ごめんなさい、、、で先週人生初の台風９番を経験しました。以前も話したように香港には台風注意報システムがあり１０番が最悪で先週末は９番でした。

台風が香港激突でパニック状態、、、まではいかないものけっこうな嵐ぶりでした強風＆大雨のグッドコンビネーションで香港はやられました。でも社会人は仕事休みで大喜びと幸運と悪運を体験できた週末でした。テレビでも観光客が台風を見るのが初めてで良かったって言ってたので、、、

で何でいま忙しいかというとやっともうすぐVery Masaのキャップが出来上がります。前回からかなり時間がたってしまいましたがもうすぐなのでお楽しみに！今回は次回をブッちぎるヤバさなので、、、フィッティングも見直してハイテク素材を使用しました。

It was so busy this week that I had not really blogged much... Sorry about that... Also an exciting new happening in life last weekend. Typhoon No. 9 hit Hong Kong... As explained last time typhoon warning systems are in place here and No.10 is the mother of all typhoons and last weekend was No. 9!

Typhoon took Hong Kong to the fringe of destruction... Well not really but there was a good combination of super sonic winds and mad heavy rain that knocked out Hong Kong... However for the working man, it was a good day because they can rejoyce at not needing to go to work and for some they experienced good/bad luck at the same time... On the TV, some tourist said they had an experience of a life seeing a typhoon for their first time... So not all was bad I suppose...

Why am I mad busy??? Reason being that we are working on some Very Masa caps. It's been sometime since our last drop but it will be ready soon.... The coming shit will be doper than before and we have used some hi tech fabrics and revised the fitting a little bit...

This vinyl collection must be one of the biggest? I'm not exactly a vinyl junkie so I don't know but over 1 million records must be worth something... Anyways he gotta sell all these records, well more like part of music history, before it perishes like dust... Some one please cop these... Maybe Nigo or Jay Z can cop these easily... Or even Pharell or Kanye...

This is skateboarding! | これぞスケートボード！

最近っていうかもう半年以上かな、、、スケートしてません。チャリに夢中でスケートはちゃっかりかたしちゃった、、、ＳＡＧのスケートボードバッグに死体のようにかたしてます。でもスケートボードを見るのは好きで動画はまめにチェキってます。この動画を見て"This is skateboarding!"って一人で思っちゃた、、、スケートボードはこれじゃなきゃね、、、見たこと無いトリックばっかりで楽しませてくれてしかも俺もやってみたい、、、最悪にはオレも出来るかも？なんて無茶な考えが頭に浮かんじゃったくらいビッグインパクト！フルでみたいならFar East Skate Networkをぜひチェックして購入してみては、、、オレ購入しようっと！！！

ピストも最近おもしろくなってきてるし技やスピードを競うのもいいけど個性をめいっぱいに出したライディングがみたいな～、、、さて人事みたいだけど自分もがんばろ～っと。

It's been a while since I last skated... More like 6 months already... Been busy with the fixed gear and the skateboard has become an ornament on top of the bookcase... The SAG skateboard bag looks like a body bag for my board. Even thought I don't skate I have been checking some footage and this footage really blew my mind! This is skateboarding! I think skateboarding needs to be like this... Full of ideas and new tricks that I have never seen before... Watching this made me want to skate again and worst yet I was delusional enough to think maybe I can do these tricks!!! hahaha The full DVD is from Far East Skate Network and it looks like a dope dope DVD... Gotta cop this for sure!

Fixed gear is definitely getting momentum now and it is all good to compete with skill and speed but I wanna see some riders with more personality and originality... Anyways I better get practising too...

でメルボルンではFuture Shockっていうイベントが行われていてアーティストはLogan Hicks, Ha HaとVexta、、、いいメンツなのでこれもドープになりそう、、、メルボルンにいるならチェキッ!

Murakami + Exhibition Hong Kong

もう待ったましたって感じだねこのエキシビションは、、、村上隆氏のエキシビションが香港で行われます、、、で今回はFabrik Contemporary Artの新しいギャラリースペースでなのでダブル楽しみ！村上氏は説明不要ですよね、、、でKaikai KikiアーティストのMr.と青島千穂の作品も見れるそうなので興味深いね、、、香港にいるならこれこそはチェックしなきゃ！毎回Fabrikチームにはお手上げです、、、Big ups！

ニューバランスとStaple Designがコラボしたピジョン５７５をひとあし遅れて見て気づいたんだけど、、、かなり前にランス(Lanciple)がニューヨークに帰ったときにお土産でスティッカー頼んだんだけどStaple Designのスティッカーパックをくれて自分の身近にもピジョンがありました！スティッカーだけだけど、、、笑　ランススティッカーサンキュ～！

しかもちょっと関連した話でJeed、ピジョン５７５が当たっちゃったんだって！！！なんてラッキーなやつなんだよ～、、、おいっ？？？笑

Been kinda late on news' lately and just peeped the New Balance x Staple Design Pigeon 575 and kinda realised something... A while back Lance (Lanciple) popped over to New York and he hooked me up with some stickers as a souvenier... Just realised that in the Staple Design sticker pack there were actually some pigeons inside!!! Fortunately I got some of my own pigeons... At least in stickers... hahaha Thanks for the stickers Lance!

On another similar note... Jeed won the damn Pigeon 575!!! How lucky are you??? hahaha

まずまずニュージーランドのセレクトショップQubicが１周年を迎えストリート系フォーラムSole Jamが２周年を迎えたのでＦｒａｎｋおめでとう！

知らない人もいるかもしれないのでＦｒａｎｋは南半球いちのセレクトショップQubicの創業者で

数週間前に新たなプロジェクトをスタートしたばっかり。このプロジェクトがまたヤバくてQuartersっていうハイエンドストリートウェアを取り扱うブティックをオープン、、、このブティックは確実に南半球でベストだな、、、

なぜブティックって言うかというと取り扱ってるブランドが日本と香港からの南半球でゲットするのが難しいハイエンドブランドばっかりなんだよね、、、今のところはPorter, Head Porter, Sophnet, Uniform Experiment, Silly ThingとChapel of Dawnをストックしてます。でここで言いたいのは正式代理店では無くいわゆるリセラー(買い付けして販売すること)はいっぱいあるけど正式に代理店としてこれだけのブランドを取り扱うってことはレベルが違うんだよね、、、やばいよ、、、

それでＦｒａｎｋは本当に良いやつなんだよね、、、でピストも上手いし、、、笑

Firstly congrats to Frank who have just celebrated the 1st Anniversary of Qubic and 2nd Anniversary of Sole Jam... Best of luck in the years to come!

For those who don't know... Frank runs the best select store, Qubic in the Southern Hemisphere... If this is not enough Frank had to get busy with a new project which is most likely the best higher end street wear boutique in the Southern Hemisphere... Quarters

By boutique it means that Quarters will carry hard to find Japanese and Hong Kong brands like Porter, Head Porter, Sophnet, Uniform Experiment, Silly Thing and Chapel of Dawn. Anyone can start a reseller store but to have these accounts is a feat in itself, so start trippin'!

Anyways Frank is the nicest dude around and mean fixed gear rider! Hahaha

Ike was in Hong Kong for a short trip from Japan... So he upgraded the bikes for Damon and Thom while he was here... Also got to learn a little bit more knowledge on fixed gear bikes! Look forward to the next time...

Luck for me there are many friends around who think the same and do the same things... And once in a while I get a good surprise when reading magazines and so forth and it seems to be happening often. These occurances remind us how hard everyone is working to make things happen...
